The story behind “beLIeVE” The inspiration for this necklace came from Zach Briggs and the other too many people fighting cancer. Zach was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in September 2008. He was only 15 months old at the time of his diagnosis. He has endured countless needle pokes, 24-hour chemo drips, rounds of steroids and more, but through it all he lives and is now a rambunctious 3-year old.

When you’re fighting cancer you’ll find a lot of things that include the word “hope.” There is value in “hope”, but for Zach’s mom the word “believe” is the one that resonated. Moved by another child’s encouragement to his own family to “live” after his own battle with cancer was lost, the connection between the two words came to her during a doodling session with Zach. There in the middle of the word “believe” were the letters “L,I,V,E” – two vital reminders in one word.

Zach is still fighting, still living and now we have the opportunity to share this message in the form of a beautiful, hand-stamped necklace, while also raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

A portion of the proceeds from every necklace sold will benefit LLS through Team In Training (TNT) and Light The Night Walk (LTN).

Although the idea for this necklace originated from a child’s fight against cancer, we feel it is an important reminder to all of us, to always believe in something and to live every moment.
